Spring Easter Menu

Walking through the neighborhood, I am enchanted by the blossoming trees and budding flowers popping up with nearly every step I take. With the weather warming and sun bringing freckled faces and suntans (and the occasional new burn), I know Easter is just around the bend!

This Sunday I am looking forward to a low-key day filled with fellowship at church, mouth watering made from scratch food and quality time with my sailor hubby, who has been on a business trip this past month.

Being far from our families up in Wisconsin, I want to bring some of my family's traditional flavors close to my heart along with a few new spring dishes to make the Easter table our own. I'm thinking for the menu I will make a glazed ham and my mama's amazing, cheesy cowboy potatoes along with a couple new recipes including steamed green beans with almonds, honey roasted carrots with herbed boursin spread and a meyer lemon cheesecake to finish the spread on a sweet and springy note!

The recipe for honey roasted carrots with herbed boursin spread is from Camille Styles, who is a genious lifestyle blogger, and the recipe for meyer lemon cheesecake with Biscoff crust was borrowed from one of my favorites, Food52.
